  River water quality monitoring is the regular detection and monitoring of water quality in rivers, lakes and other water bodies to assess the health of water bodies, protect the ecological environment, and maintain the sustainability of human life and economic development.

  China is one of the countries with the most rivers in the world. The Chinese nation has survived and developed along with river civilization. The prosperity of rivers leads to the prosperity of economy and civilization. The water quality of rivers has a profound impact on the production and life of people in all regions of the country, and is also an important reflection of the ecological level of each region.

  CnOpenData has compiled the water quality monitoring data of key sections of major river basins across the country from 2007 to 2018. This data covers the water quality monitoring information of 16 major water systems, 100 rivers and 150 key sections across the country, which will help related research.
